About Soft Spot
Soft Spot is a platformer made of clay, and the ground is not finished. A hard, porous crust is creeping over a soft world, and the only clay that still moves is the purple kind. You grab it and knead it into whatever you need: a hill to climb, a trench to duck through, a stone to cross the spikes on.
You play today's Phetta Fella, the clay character from the Fella of the day. Every level ends at a glowing soft spot. Reach it, and the next level opens.
How to play
- Run with A and D or the arrow keys, and jump with Space. On a phone, use the two arrows and the Jump button.
- Press the purple clay and drag. Pull it up for a hill, push it down for a trench. The clay you move comes from the clay around it, so a tall hill leaves the ground beside it thin.
- Time slows while your hand is in the clay, so you can knead and run in the same breath.
- Some clay comes in lumps. Pick one up and carry it, or walk into it to push it, and drop it into a hole to fill it. A filled hole turns soft again.
- Gold beads are hidden along the way. A star for finishing, one for every bead, one for never falling. Stuck? Press Hint and a hand shows what to do.
Three worlds
The Mesa is red rock and warm light, with plenty of soft clay. The Cavern is dark and glittering, with heavy lumps and holes to fill. The Meadow is sweet and open, and nearly all of it has gone to crust.
Every level can be won
Each level was checked by a bot that plays with the same controls as you: it can reach the soft spot with the clay shaped the right way, and it cannot without. There is more than one right way to shape it.

Questions people ask
Do I need to sign in?
No. Which levels you have cleared is kept on your device only.
Why does the clay get thin?
Clay is never made or lost: a hill takes its clay from the ground beside it. To go higher, take clay from further away, or dig a trench first.
Can I use a controller?
Not yet. Keyboard, mouse and touch.
