Frequently asked questions
Answers about the app, exports, and website.
Do I need a PC?
Clayground is built for standalone Meta Quest. You don’t need a tethered PC to sculpt. A computer is optional for taking exports into other creative tools.
Is Clayground free?
The current Meta listing offers Clayground through Get in early access. Check the store for current pricing, availability and supported devices. Voluntary support is separate from access to the app.
Is the canvas unlimited?
You can sculpt beyond a fixed workspace box, but headset memory, geometry and layer budgets still limit stored detail. We’re researching ways to support larger projects without losing work or responsiveness.
Can I export my artwork?
Yes. Export GLB or optional OBJ, then download it over local Wi-Fi using Capture > Share, or access exported files in Downloads. The current animation exporter produces a stop-motion GLB for the active layer.
Can I mint a sculpt now?
Not yet. The publishing page currently inspects a GLB privately in your browser and prepares a review record. Monad transactions, public uploads and custody/claim services are not enabled.
Do I need an account or wallet to sculpt?
No. Ordinary sculpting and local saves/export do not depend on the website or a wallet. Optional browser login will support the planned publishing workflow.
Can I submit to the gallery?
Community submissions are being prepared. Contact the studio about a feature; don’t send artwork you don’t have permission to share. Current gallery items are development captures, not invented community submissions.
What happens if I delete my data?
Local app data and separately exported files need different deletion steps. See Data & deletion. Future blockchain publication would persist independently of account deletion.
